Weed Addiction

weed-addictionA one stop resource for information about weed addiction, it’s side effects and everything in between.

Whether you want to stop smoking weed and avoid the stress of it all, or just find out general information about marijuana, there’s plenty around the site.  A lot of the material will be useful for assisting people who are ready and willing to learn the ins and outs of the dependency and help provide information to those who are seeking out ways to get over the feeling of being addicted to weed.

There is a lot of debate surrounding the issue and I’m not here to say one way or another what is and isn’t addictive. The simple truth of the matter is that some folks can feel they are becoming dependent on smoking weed, while others will argue there is nothing addictive in the substance at all.

We all have our own opinions.

They will differ.

What this site is about is educating people on the effects that marijauna can take on your life. In my own opinion it is something that can cause a lot of problems to occur. From relationship difficulties, self-esteem and yes…depression. That seems to be a common problem for pot smokers.

Having smoked it myself for a number of years, I’m all to familiar with the issues surrounding the side effects of weed and the memory problems that happen after pro-longed use of the drug.

While I do feel there is an issue that is worth discussing about the addictive nature of weed, there is also other elements to factor in. Having read up on a lot of the scientific research that’s been conducted, it’s fairly clear that the cannabanoids in the substance aren’t addictive.

However, it’s my opinion that the whole weed addiction scenario is of a different nature altogether. I firmly believe that with weed addiction, it isn’t the drug itself you get addicted to. At least in my case it wasn’t. It was the feelings and emotions that you get when your stoned, that you most likely enjoy.

At least, that’s what I came to understand when I looked into the reasoning behind why I smoked weed in the first place. For others things are going to be different. That’s understandable as we are all unique in our own ways. We all have things we enjoy and for some, the dependency of smoking weed may be a means to escape from some harsh realities.

I felt that way myself from time to time. That was in line with the depression side of things though. Instead of facing problems as they occur, the ease of lighting up a joint and getting into the zone when things just brushed over my head. The “I’ll take care of it tomorrow” attitude.

The following day comes and the same all over. Feeling down is never something that anyone is going to take pleasure from. That’s where smoking weed comes in.

You can take a couple of spliffs and things seem to be better.

It’s a sort of coping mechanism that becomes routine after a while. It’s that coping mechanism that I believe that you can become reliant on and in that respect it is somewhat of a weed addiction that can set in.

I wouldn’t go as far to say as it’s something that you would need to buy before putting food in the cupboards or anything like that. But it is certainly something I believe does affect a number of people in different ways. As far as the subject of weed addiction goes, while there doesn’t seem to be anything physically addictive, I would say that it’s a psychological dependence rather than an addiction.

They are both fairly similar in terms of the emotional grasp they can take on your life, but when it comes to being able to stop smoking weed, things become a lot different. In order to stop smoking weed, it’s more a case of getting into the right frame of mind.

There are a lot of programs out there that use the fear factor to encourage marijuana users, who believe they have an addiction to weed, to go into perhaps, rehabilitation centers or 12 step programs etc.

Putting yourself through detox may be one way to go if you are serious about stopping smoking weed, but in reality, if you can put things into perspective and begin to understand the reasoning behind why it is you smoke the drug, the feelings that you crave etc, you can put things into place and get yourself a fighting chance to better your life.

I’m not going to say that if you are already bothered with health conditions such as depression, that everything is going to be all hunky-dory as soon as you give it up. Because it’s not.

That’s why there’s medication for that. However, smoking weed is only going to heighten the issue. Especially when you take into account the feelings of paranoia that can happen.

In any case, for those that are seeking out help to fight weed addiction, there is a great program that is run by a life coach by the name of Will Jones. He is an ex marijuana smoker himself and he’s now helping a lot of weed smokers come to realize what it is that can make them feel like they are hooked on the drug.

His program is a 28 day self help guide. It’s a daily training guide with everything you need to get yourself in the right mindset. It’s why I believe so much in the training provided. It’s on the same wave length of myself, in that, Will shares the same beliefs about weed addiction as me. ..

PS…I like the fact that it’s digital as it doesn’t mean spilling your guts out to psychologists or the like. Click the link above and let Will tell you more about what the program involves
